The William A. Shine - Great Neck South High School has always had a diverse Performing Arts department.  However, during the 2007-08 school year we expanded our horizons even further and began a Beginner Acoustic Guitar program.  We are proud that its success opened the door for an Intermediate Guitar course  (Guitar Two in your course offerings book) during the 2008-09 school year.  Guitar instructor Anthony Virgilio has had the privilege of teaching approximately 100 new guitar students with every school year since the programs inception.  He has documented some of the exciting events, students, and performances that occurred over the years on this website for your enjoyment...
